Alaska & Hawaii Shipping Information & Policies

Direct From Mexico offers shipping to Alaska & Hawaii with the following limitations and restrictions.

Shipping Orders to Alaska & Hawaii

Orders shipped outside of the 48 contiguous United States require additional shipping and handling fees. You must reply to the shipping quote via e-mail to accept or decline the shipping charges. Your order will not be processed until the shipping charges are accepted. Once the shipping charges are accepted via e-mail your order will be processed. If the shipping charges are declined or we receive no e-mail response within 72 hours regarding the shipping charges, your order will be automatically canceled.

How Will My Order Ship?

Your order will be shipped via small package carrier or freight shipper, depending on the size of your order.

Small Items & Small Orders: All small orders will be shipped FedEx Ground or USPS mail.

Large Furniture Items and Large Quantity Orders: All large orders and large furniture orders will be shipped by Fed Ex Ground Freight. These require a delivery appointment which needs to be scheduled with FedEx. Follow the tracking links in your shipping confirmation email to find the FedEx instructions for setting your delivery appointment.

When Your Freight Shipment Arrives: For Freight/Large furniture deliveries: When signing the Bill of Lading, Please include the phrase: “Possible Concealed Damage”. This is only necessary if you do not open and completely accept the condition of the shipment. We are being required to do this because the freight carrier is making it almost impossible to put in damage claims without it.
Damages
Direct From Mexico cannot be responsible for damages once items leave the contiguous 48 United States. We make every effort to package orders to arrive undamaged. Visible damages should be noted at time of delivery with the carrier. Furniture orders should be thoroughly inspected at time of delivery before signing delivery receipt. If damages are found they must be noted on the delivery receipt. All damages must be reported to us within 5 business days of receipt of shipment. All packing materials must be saved for inspection purposes. Photographs of damaged item(s) will be needed to process your claim. We will replace or credit you for your loss provided the above guidelines have been met.
Return Policy
We want all our customers to be satisfied with their purchase, but if you are not simply return it and we will credit you for the entire amount of your merchandise. This does not apply to special orders — only to normal stock items.

The item(s) you are returning need to arrive back to us in the same condition as when it left our warehouse. Please repack appropriately to protect during shipping.

Please note: Shipping charges are not refundable and the return charges are the customers responsibility.

The customer acknowledges that hand made goods are inherently imperfect and vary in size, finish and dimension. All products susceptible to pest infestation have been treated.
